The Works

About
Beatriz Morales’ approach is highlighted through the dynamic relationship between rural and urban settings, where each serves to contextualize the other. By using materials like pigments and fibers she engages Art and nature in a harmonious dialogue, blurring the line between organic presence and abstract composition.
Mythology tells stories that mirror us all, and Spivacov's paintings do the same. He paints his face over the face of a wax doll’s face— he turns our relationship to the self-portrait into a mechanism that dismantles objectivity. The process of painting becomes a journey to discover new possibilities, to transform the familiar into something new.
Tincuta Marin is a captivating painter and sculptor, renowned for her mesmerizing ability to weave fantastical and transhistorical narratives. Her approach is not overtly allegorical but rather a creative fusion of elements and figures that inspire her, brought together in scenes with a mystical, dreamlike quality.

BEATRIZ MORALES
Born and raised in Mexico City (*1981, Ciudad de Mexico, Beatriz Morales left her native country in 2001 to pursue largely autodidactic studies in painting and fashion design in Europe. Morales combines an investigative, abstract-expressionist approach with textile art, fiber art and conceptual components, often realized in monumental installations. As part of her practice, the artist incorporates traditional, pre-hispanic dyeing techniques, both in her work with plant fibers as well as when painting on canvases. Morales' painting Wonderland Il was presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art Rufino Tamayo Mexico City and Oaxaca as part of the Mexican Painting Biennial 2017. She made her major art fair debut shown at Zona Maco in 2018, followed by multiple appearances at Dallas Art Fair, Zona Maco, Art Karlsruhe as well as exhibitions in numerous galleries across Europe and North America. Beatriz Morales' recent exhibitions include a major solo exhibition at Circle Culture Berlin and two museum shows at the Chancellery Museum in Mexico City and the Museum of Contemporary Art MACAY in Merida (which dedicated its main exhibition hall to a large scale installation by the artist), and a participation in the major, high-profile group exhibition "The King is Dead, Long Live the Queen" at Frieder Burda Museum, Baden Baden, Germany.
